JVM aborts with init_thread failure if glibj.zip concatenated ahead of vm.zip
in CLASSPATH.

VMThread may be a good candidate for a culprit.

Obviously.  The vm.zip contains the modified VM-interface classes and needs
them.  Using others instead does not work(tm).
